World's Eight Highest Mountains in Nepal

Nepal is known as the land of Himalayas world over. there are 1,310 peaks above 6000 meters of which 238 already opened for climbing. Likewise, out of fourteen 8000 meter above peaks eight of them. including the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest lies in Nepal. Other seven are namely kanchanjung, Lhotse, Makalu, Ho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna.:

Mt. Everest:
Moutn Everest is the highest moutain in the world measuring 8,848m (29,028feet) in height. It was first climbed on May 28, 1953 by a New Zealander sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay of Nepal. Moutant Everest is also known by the Tibetan name Chomolangma (Goddess Mother of the Snows), and by the Nepali named sagarmatha (Mother of the Universe).

Mountaineering is considered the keystone activity that Nepal offers to the climbers then any contry in the world. The eight out of fourteen 8000m peaks lie in Nepal including the Mt. Bungy Jumping:

Elephant Polo and Jungle walk:

Mustang and Manang

Jomsom is the district head quarters for the Mustang region of Nepal. To many people, however, Mustang implies the area of nepal that extends like athumb into Tibet. This is the region described in Michel Piessel's Book ''Mustang'', and includes the walled capital city of Mustang, to Manang. since 1991 trekkers have been allowed in limited numbers into the high desert region nourth of Jomsom that still has its own nominal king. The starting point is Jomsom.

Destination to Nepal

Lumbini:   World Heritage site, Lumbini, UNESCO- World Heritage Site, is a small town in the southern Terai Plains of Nepal, where the ruins of the old city can still be seen. Shakyamuni Bouddha was born in Lumbini, in southern Nepal, twenty-five hundred year ago. Since his time, Nepal has been a sacred ground for Buddhists as the birthplace of the Bouddha. Shakyamuni Bouddha was bon to a royal family. The restored Garden and surroundings of Lumbini have the remains of many of the ancient Stupas and monasteries. A large stone pillar erected by the Indian Emperor Ashoka in 250BC by bears an inscription about the birth of the Bouddha.

An important part of Lumbini is the temple of Maya Devi. It has a stone image of Maya Devi giving birth to Lord Bouddha as she holds onto a branch. To the south of the temple is a pool where Queen Maya Devi is said to have bathed and given her son his first purification bath.
